Start with the actual care instruction
The current care field says Hand Wash Only. The seller's description says to pull apart the two-piece body, remove the minced ingredients and wash with water and mild detergent. That is the care routine supported by the product information. A water-themed photograph is not a temperature rating or permission to use a dishwasher, boiling water, steam or a microwave.
Open the two halves after use and remove food from the spaces between the teeth before washing. Work carefully around the interlocking surfaces, then rinse away detergent and remaining food. Let the parts dry before putting them away as a general household care step. No drying time, water-temperature limit or approved sanitizing procedure has been supplied for this model; ask the seller for a model-specific instruction if you need one.
Inspect while the parts are apart
Check both halves for cracks, missing teeth, rough damaged areas or loose fragments. If you notice structural damage, stop using the tool to prepare food and contact the seller about the item. Do not try to compensate for damaged teeth with more force. These are general condition checks, not a claim that an inspection can prove the product is safe or predict its remaining life.
The workbook includes one retrieved review reporting plastic damage after continued use. That limited sample cannot establish a failure rate or expected lifespan, and this guide has not performed durability testing. Similarly, the seller's 'food-grade' wording is not an independently verified material certificate. We have no specific resin identification, BPA-free evidence or food-contact test report for this product.
| Supported care detail | What it does not prove |
|---|---|
| Separate the two halves | No sealed-storage or leakproof rating is established. |
| Water and mild detergent; hand wash | No dishwasher, boiling or sterilizing approval is established. |
| Inspect for visible damage | No lifetime or breakage guarantee is established. |
| Dry before storage | No validated disinfection or allergen-removal process is established. |
Keep tool care and food hygiene distinct
FDA's general produce guidance recommends clean hands, washing produce under running water and keeping produce separate from raw meat, poultry, seafood and utensils used with those foods. It advises against washing produce with soap or detergent. Detergent belongs to the tool-cleaning instruction here, not to washing garlic or other produce. FDA's guidance does not certify this product or establish its material temperature tolerance.
If nuts are part of your preparation, do not assume that the ordinary hand-wash routine has been validated to remove allergens. Keep that limitation in mind when choosing tools for people with allergies. For drawer storage, current listed dimensions are 3.15 × 3.15 × 1.5 inches; the supplied Keepa record says 2.5 × 2.5 × 1.8 inches. Confirm the actual item if a precise fit matters, and store it only after cleaning and drying.
